I’ve had severe rheumatoid arthritis for 30 years. Terrible stiffness and sharp pain was my daily grind. I have had multiple surgeries and was on lots of long-term potent drugs. I couldn’t even get out of bed without strong drugs every day.
Then a friend recommended Mary and I’m so grateful because she’s changed my life!
First, she put me on a low–inflammation diet.
Following her step-by-step plans was easy and the results were immediate. In under a month, I stopped needing twice a day pain killers and started walking.
I’ve reduced my large dose of Prednisone to a tiny dose now and my rheumatologist is working with me now to try and get off the Actemra biologic injections I’ve been on for so long because she sees how substantially I’ve improved.
I am now sleeping so much better, I have more energy and feel more alive. My family noticed the incredible difference very early on; they could see the huge dietary change was worth it for me. (The funny thing was, I thought I was eating a healthy diet before).
At one stage, I decided I was going so well that I would ease up on the diet. I emailed Mary to tell her my adjustments. She was soon on the phone with me, telling me in no uncertain terms that if I went down that track, I would soon find myself back where I started. That scared me to get back on track and make the changes work for me.
I really liked Mary’s holistic approach to exercise, food, supplements and support networks for motivation. She has continued to check in with me and encourage me all along the way, making adjustments to the plan to keep me going in the right direction.
My expectations and goals are big now, whereas, when I met Mary, I couldn’t see much hope for change in the future as I’d lived with this disease for so long and it was only getting worse.
My only regret is that I wish I’d met her decades ago.
