Before I came to see Mary, my endocrinologist had said I had to have my thyroid treated with radioactive iodine as there were so many thyroid nodules which appeared to be showing ominous signs of possibly turning cancerous. I was suffering from many signs of overactive thyroid, with heart palpitations all the time, an inability to sleep well, overheating all the time. Life felt quite miserable.
Mary set to improving my diet. I was very compliant as I did not want my thryoid gland destroyed. Six months later I returned to the radiologist who said my thyroid looked so good, he stated ‘no further treatment required’ on his report. All of my hyperthyroid symptoms have abated and I am feeling a great deal better than I have for a long time.

Postscript – now, 7 years later, the thyroid panel on my blood tests shows my thyroid is completely normal.
